Kandy Solutions Limited was formed in 1997 by Andrew Mogford.
Andrew has been writing software since 1981. He taught himself to write applications when home computers first became popular in Britain. His first computer was a Commodore Vic 20. From the very beginning he was interested in databases, even though it would have been much easier to use a pen and paper than spend a quarter of an hour loading data from a cassette tape.
Once Microsoft Windows started to dominate the infant PC marketplace he started writing in Visual Basic 3.0 as well as MS Access and Crystal Reports. As the years passed he also used Borland Delphi, Visual Basic 6.0 and eventually VB.Net and ASP.Net.
Since then, through Kandy Solutions and by working with other software houses he has gained a wide range of experience in writing business software. Usually this has involved databases, however
He has worked with Paradox, MS Firefox, MS Outlook and text databases but prefers Microsoft’s excellent SQL Server which is available in several editions, from a free version and ultra high performance enterprise editions.
Clients have been wide and varied both in size and sector, from small businesses with just a few employees to some of the world’s largest corporations.
Kandy Solutions are based in South London, near Wimbledon, but are willing to support clients anywhere. Modern technology means it is easy to support clients remotely if necessary.
